Closed for the season - see you in the spring

Noble Bikes wound up a great 2011 season.  We welcomed visitors from all over the United States and several continents.  (As far as we know, we have had no visitors from Antarctica, yet.)

For the land lovers, we have a variety of bicycles, including a tandem, or bicycle built for 2. (Riding a tandem is an excellent exercise to determine if you are one of those rare couples who not only agree on a path, but have unshakable confidence in his/her partner.)

We also have family style surrey bicycles that can handle two to eight people.  (Exploring Delphi on a surrey is an experience for bonding of friends or family like none other!)

Pedalers enjoy miles of historic towpath along the canal with several marked and interpreted historic sites along the way.  In total there are 10 miles of marked and groomed crushed stone trails to explore.

Pedalers are also welcome to explore outside the trails system.  Try a cycle tour into town to see beautifully restored historic homes and Delphi’s Nationally Registered Court House Square District. We also have maps for miles and miles of paved scenic trails throughout Carroll County.

For those who prefer water trails, we have family friendly paddle boats or for the more independent minded, kayaks.

Paddle past historic features like a replica lime kiln just like those used more than 100 years ago along the canal, or an 1873 bowstring arch bridge that crossed rural Carroll County streams.  Get a water level view of a pioneer village, canal era town square block and a guard lock gate that protected the canal from the Wabash’s raging floods.

Glide around the canal boat, and past the boat house in the form of a canal-era warehouse used to store goods for transport east on the canal - watch out for the stone bridge pinch point though and stay out of the way when the canal boat makes her 180 degree turn.  It’s a sight to see, but keep out of the way!
There is always something new to see along the Wabash & Erie Canal Trails.

No matter what mode of travel you prefer, Noble Bikes has quality rentals with complementary safety gear for all to enjoy fun and memorable experience.

Stop by any weekend through October 16th.
